The practical experience and the sound understanding of technology and markets as well as the respective networks define the industries TAT invests in. The focus is on medical technology with an emphasis on medical devices and micro-/nano technology products.
	Transatlantic approach with industrial Vision
	The TAT Team believes in the strength of global niche players in leading market positions. To achieve a global presence and to overcome the cultural, political and economical barriers is one of the most challenging tasks for young companies. TAT with the unique transatlantic team is able to actively help such companies to expand in the major markets US, Europe and Asia. To be able to pick the real technology and future market leaders in the focussed segments, TAT invests in Europe and in the US wherever the best company is located.
	Early-Stage and Established Companies
	TAT invests in early-stage companies. A key issue to the success of most early-stage companies is managing the growth and the transatlantic expansion. The active involvement of TAT Capital Partners targets to help the companies to overcome such barriers to profitable growth, and to quickly reach a strong position in the market they are competing. TAT further invests in established companies, e.g. companies with sales up to 15 million USD and which are clearly positioned in the specific market in which they compete. The Fund's main contribution to these companies is to support them continuously to eliminate deadlock situations, to master the next step of profitable growth, whether internally or through acquisition and to position the company as global player.
	Principal institutional Investor
	In view of the investment strategy of TAT, in particular its mission as an industrial partner vis-a-vis the targeted companies, the Fund must be a principal Venture Capital Investor. This position allows the Fund to enlarge its influence on both the management guidance and the control over the financing structure of the companies. However, TAT normally invests together with other reputed VC firms. The Fund's ownership shall be an adequate percentage, preferably a minority stake. The management and employees of the investment target shall participate to a reasonable extent in the equity in order to emphasize its commitment to the goals of TAT.
